Operation Beautiful and Operation trip to Utah with two kids while studying for a math test!

Ok, so here is my update, Joanne! aka mom who harasses me to update my blog when I would rather surf the net and blogstalk instead!!

Ok, so in a few weeks, this handsome man, aka, my brother Douglas, is going to Utah to enter the MTC, to prepare to go on a mission for two years to Edmonton Canada.

So, my mom, the kids, and I are going to drive Douglas up to Utah so we can spend his last week of freedom with him. Not only will I miss him for the free water, ice, icecream, and Pete's fish and chips that he has given me over the past few years, but I will also miss that noise he makes with his fingers right in my ears, and when he jumps out and scares me!
No really folks, my brother is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. He's serious when he needs to be, but he is also one of the funnest people to be around and he has a fun and caring heart. That's why he is my favorite!

But don't worry, even though he will be millions of miles away in the freezing cold, I will take care of him. I will send him goodie boxes with candy, pictures, stink bombs etc. Plus I will be sure to have lots of fun with him before he goes into the MTC. And I get to see all those Crocketts, Goldbolds, Stocktons and Batsons while I am up there. And maybe some of my Heritage girlies from high school! Yahoo
On the ride home will be another story. A loud one with lots of laughing and snorting, because Heather will be riding home with us! She wants to spend time with Donna Mom and her sisters Dani and Chantelle. I think that Heather should move down here! Who wants to live in Utah with all those good mormons anyway? Come down here and live with the bad mormons! Just kidding, I know how that comment could start a battle!! hehe

What else is new with me, you ask? Well I am back in school, taking Mat092 and Im pretty sure I am sucking. I understand the concepts when I learn them, but then its like I get test anxiety when I am quizzed on this stuff. And my math teacher is a nice guy, but he is very "by the book" and strict, (maybe a little anal??)
I also have a communications class that I love. Also, being busy with church on tuesday and thursday mornings and school on monday, wednesday and friday has gotten me more on a schedule and better at managing my time. Which is good because I spend alot of time dilly dallying, which is what I love to do, but I don't get things done as quickly as I should.

What else, what else? This month I have had the sickies going around in my house. First Jacob, then Alyson.

Oh I almost forgot!! Operationbeautiful.com! Check it out. A long time friend of mine, Tracy, my neighbor two doors down growing up, told me about this site.
Girls leave uplifting messages on sticky notes, where other girls can find them. Most of them are found on the doors of bathroom stalls or on the mirrors. You can put them anywhere. Maybe a public computer or an exersize bike at the gym. I have left a few around school, mostly in the bathrooms and I put one on the mirror and I saw all the girls reading it when they were washing there hands. The school takes them down, but its ok, I know people are reading them. I write things like "Hey you, you're beautiful! Keep up the good work! then I write the website www.operationbeautiful.com on the bottom. I encourage you all to try it and post your results on facebook, myspace or your blog. I tried to take a picture off of my phone, but it wouldnt let me. So next time I do it, I will use my camera and post one.

Ok last but not least, my crazy mom made me get up at 4:30 on a Saturday morning(she's crazy, we all know this!) to take family pics before Douglas leaves on his mission. I had to get up my three crankies, wake them up, and beautify them. Matt had to wear a dress shirt and a tie, he was miserable, but he looked hot. He thinks he looked like a mormon. Did you hear that Gail? we are making Matthew a mormon!! hehe just kidding! Well here is the end result of that early morning fiasco!

Isn't this one just precious?

There are more, but here are two that I really like. I will post alot more on my next blog.

Till then.....................

You can put him in a white shirt and tie and let him take up bike riding but making him into a Mormon? ha! I don't think so! at least if he knows what's good for him! hahaha! Love the pic of him and Alyson. Mmmmmmm....now why is it I can't seem to get my family together to get a photo?
