Tell me why it took so long for my mom to start a blog. I'm glad she did, she is enjoying writing and posting pictures. Here's her link: http://jodonaldson.blogspot.com/
Our neighbor's Joe and Christina also started a blog page, their's is
cinaandjoesandoval.blogspot.com
As soon as my cousin Heather shows me how to do the mosaic's (that's when you can post a bunch of pictures together at once) then I will post some of my vacation to the Dominican Republic.
So what's new at our house? We got Alyson off the bottle and the pacifier. Now the only reason she had the bottle is because that was the only way to wean her from being breastfed. Now you could say, she shouldn't have had the boob that long, she shouldn't have ever had a bottle, she shouldn't have still had a pacifier, and that's ok. I challenge you to challenge my little strong willed Alyson, have fun! As I see it, let your child let go of those things when they are ready. You shouldn't let them have those things too long, but have you ever seen a Kindergartner with a diaper on, a pacifier in his mouth and a bottle in his hand, all while asking for the boob? I think not, so relax people. I am even starting to potty train, But unless I ask Alyson if she has to go, she might not tell me and she has accidents, but just when I started to give up thinking she is too young (she just turned two in April) she would tell me she has to go. Woohoo.
Jacob is loving the summer, he is playing alot with his good buddy Dylan and she also has a lot of fun swimming at his friend Jackson, who lives across the street from my mom. He is a big help around the house too.
Matt got a letter from the Scottsdale police department on Monday, its not what you think, he got a photo radar ticket for speeding, am I mad at him? No, I laughed and was relieved simultaneously, thanking God that it wasn't me. I would have been in some doodoo, Matt's always giving me a hard time about how I drive, but I will tell you that I have never had a ticket (knock on wood). I might just post the picture of his ticket, that is if he says it's ok. I dint want to do it without asking him, so we'll see what he says.
Now as for me, I'm just doing the cooking and cleaning as usual. I am also trying to sew some homemade cloth wipes to sell on ebay, cloth diapers and all the accessories that go with natural diapering are big on ebay right now, If I didn't sew so crooked, I might be able to make some money selling the wipes on ebay, I'll let you know how that goes. I also filled out our financial aid applications for school. I am going to take Spanish for now. I am looking forward to when Alyson turns three, so that I can take her to school with me and enroll her at the Children's Center, so I can take some classes on campus. I think I am going back to school to do my prereqs for nursing, but I can also use those prereqs for the lactation consultant program. It has been something I have been interested in for a while. I had a crappy experience with breastfeeding Jacob and the help I got in the hospital. When I had Alyson, the hospital experience was alot better and the lactation consultant that I had was wonderful and she also works at the breastfeeding store by my house. That woman helped me not to give up on breastfeeding and I hope one day to do the same for lots of women.
That's all for now, Here are some pics of my vacation. I could only post a few pics, but when blogger is working better, I will post more. For my next blog I will write about my awesome parents, keep your eyes peeled for that!
